Soul Stories: Messages from Paintings channeled by Brent Atwater

Soul Stories: Art channeled by Brent Atwater
Messages from each painting

In 1997 after my fiancé was killed, I sat alone in my art studio sobbing and grasping to find my heart. Out of the darkness came a light, then an image, forever engraved into my memory. It calmed my soul and provided me with a reassuring sense of inner peace and hope. I went to the easel and painted “Forever & Always”. I knew it was Michael’s way of communicating that he was safe on the other side.

Every time that I exhibit this painting, the viewer’s emotions are drawn into a personal experience with the painting. Those who have had near death experiences, relate to the image and understand exactly where it is (as they have been there) or what the image represents. Viewers share countless stories about the environment and messages they receive from this painting.

After Michael’s death my heart was void and my art ceased. Another evening I was sitting in my studio and could not bring myself to paint, so I cut off the light and started to leave. The empty canvas that I had placed on my easel began to glow. I was terrified! yet mysteriously drawn to the canvas like never before. My heart asked, who are you, what do you want?

I heard “my name is Anna, let me tell you my story.”It was as if my hands were not holding the brushes nor choosing the colors. I painted as instructed while we were having a conversation about Anna’s life as if she were sitting beside me. I asked why she appeared to me in this manner. She stated that by telling her soul’s story she was healed, released to cross the veils and go to the Light. I was wary of this concept presented in an artistic manner, yet inherently understood the process of healing and being reborn into karma free loving energy.

After Anna, my curiosity was inspired. Each night I would wait until dark, put an empty canvas on the easel and ask to meet another Soul. Many nights there was no activity, then Yolanda made her debut. She told me her “soul’s story”. I knew that Soul Stories had to be the name of this art series; the painting and the story behind the inspiration for each painting. I would display each Soul’s Story along with the artwork in a gallery or show, or under their enlargement on my website.

I continuously receive visitors from across the veils. They present themselves to me by telling me their name and asking to be painted. When I agree, “we” select the size canvas that they will need and they assist my artwork as I conceive and create their likeness while listening to their Soul’s Story. I have been corrected more than once for not getting the painting’s image or story as it should be. Yolanda’s bottom lip took 6 hours to paint. Every time I thought I had it correct, I’d hear “NOPE not right,” and I‘d have to start again. Finally she said, “That’s it you can stop painting now.”

Over the past decade I have cried with their pain, celebrated their joy, painted their hopes, and nourished their trust. Their wonderful energies have inspired powerful profound imagery that I am privileged to channel onto a canvas.

I invite you to hear each Soul’s Story: Messages from their painting.
I ask you to meet them, they are my friends!
